Program Pensiswazahan Guru USM

This course will focus on reading strategies such as reading for main ideas, drawing inferences and differentiating fact and opinion. It will expose students to reading skills such as skimming, scanning and SQ3R technique.Throughout the course, students  will be involved in the analysis of various reading texts. 

The course helps students to acquire skills in writing paragraphs and essays. Students will be exposed to various types of essays such as narrative essays, process essays, cause and effect essays and others. Students will also be taught the organization of good paragraphs and essays, specifically, the topic sentence, thesis statement and supporting details.
